I am having a problem with Royal Court ("R") not appearing now.

I am using latest Oolite (1.92) and have The Feudal States, Planetfall, and Planetfall Resources Packs A & B installed through OXZ expansion manager. I get no error messages in the log. My ship has Advanced Space Compass/External Heat Shielding/Docking Computer/Atmospheric Stabilizers installed, and my save state has no conflicts with Feudal States.

I have previously played Oolite and been able to use Feudal States, but I recently installed Oolite on a new computer and am now having this problem.

What am I doing wrong? Feudal States has long been one of my favourite OXPs and I would love to get it working again. Any advice gratefully received.

Welcome!

There are two versions of Feudal States (Thargoid's original - and Phkb's major update with a new landing technique) and two versions of Planetfall (Ramirez's original - and DGill's major update with new missions and estate management).

I presume from your mention of Atmospheric Stabilisers and the Planetfall Resource Packs that you have just downloaded the Expansions Manager version (Phkb's update) and that your Feudal States is the Ramirez's original (also on the Expansions Manager).

Perhaps try DGill's version (download from the wiki page: [EliteWiki] Feudal States: 4 OXPs: Feudal States Extended, Feudal States Tibecea, Feudal States Ships & Feudal States Images

I suppose that I should mention: DGill's Feudal States is the only OXP which uses the full capabilities of Feudal States.

Thank you. Would that mean I would need to uninstall the other versions of the Feudal States/Planetfall OXPs to avoid conflict?

Only Feudal States (Feudal_States_1.16.3.oxz - oolite.oxp.Ramirez.FeudalStates). DGill's Feudal OXP suite should work with both versions.

And have you downloaded "Feudal PlanetFall Customisations"?

Well, I've confirmed that with v1.16.3 of Feudal States, PlanetFall2 and the PlanetFall2 Feudal Customisations, a landing point will be spawned in those Feudal Systems that have a Royal Court. Not every Feudal system has one, though.

The other factor is distance. By default, PlanetFall2 will hide the beacons of landing points that are greater than 200km distant. It could be that you are outside that range and so the beacon is being hidden. To change this, go into Library Config ("Config for Addons" on the F4 Interfaces screen), find the "General Settings" for "PlanetFall", select the "Show Values" option, then select the "Beacon Range" item. Change this value to 0 (zero), and all PlanetFall 2 landing point beacons will be visible all the time, regardless of distance.
