(WIP) Anaconda Cruise Liners

Delivering certain cargo ( machinery, fuel ) to help a stranded liner somewhere...

You pick up the liner from a particular station, fly the given route within a prescribed schedule, and bonuses are given if you can do it without getting into scraps along the way. Your ship could either be left at the originating point, requiring a return journey, or be flown by another pilot who arrives at your destination shortly after you, so you can easily switch back. This wouldn't be seen in game, just explained to you when taking on the contract.

Why doesn't this Commander A.N. Other just fly the liner, and leave Commander Jameson out of the equation?

Not rated high enough/lack of reputation/doesn't like flying Anacondas/doesn't fit in the Anaconda pilot seat. Or I could just say that your ship has been brought to the current system through magic. Lots of options!

Sound interesting/promising/worth developing/tedious? Hit me with your thoughts/ideas/suggestions.

Well, escorting an anaconda would be quite tedious I think, as would replacing an indisposed pilot.
Intercepting assassins is a bit less sedentary however.

How about some different solutions to two of your imagined situations?

Escorts Needed:
Break up a pirate gang that has plans to intercept an escort team before they can meet up with the liner prior to departure
(different to assassins in that escorts can assist you)

Pilot Needed:
Deliver a replacement pilot (passenger mission) in time for cruise to head off on schedule

Or a new one:
Luxuries needed (expensive) for keeping customers happy or alloys (cheap) for repairs of these hulking ships.
Deliver the right item to the right station at the right time and find that the demand is unusually high. To exploit this the player would have to track/ predict and then outpace (but only just) a liner.

Given Vetitice is a Sector 1 system, and so I've made this liner only appear in sector 1, can people throw some suggestions for one's that would make sense for the other sectors? Along the same lines, I mean.

I decided this week that the Prodigal Suns are isolated as they are because they lie within the Prodigious Nebula. Prodigious is a great-looking word: the loop on the p makes a strong, solid initial, it has one ascender, d, and one descender, g, and unlike words like boatin', campin' and fishin' the descending g isn't awkwardly dangling at the end of the word. Prodigious is just a good-looking word. #JustSayin'

It depends on pronunciation. Marausian would have a zs sound, like Asian. Maraussian would be an s (Marau see Ann, or Marau s'y'an), or a sh, like Russian.
