Trying to convert a diffuse map I seem to lo(o)se the 'painted' panels, either too dark or too light.

Cbr, can’t really tell from your shots, but running the old oxp left me feeling that the ships just had those lovely designs painted on them rather than their being “real”.

I am not trying to extrude painted details but i am trying to find the sweet point for the sg value for painted areas to appear as a painted surface (gloss ed.)

Side effects ;)
