Just to say “Thank You” to Phkb and to Mr Flibble for organising the electronic meeting.

And also to those who travelled from far and wide to be there - and to those who joined us electronically!
I can only chime in. It's impressive what has been made possible.

At the same time I have to complain about my ISP, taking me offline for 44 hour this weekend, after I survived 40 hours being offline the weekend before.
That's higher order - but I took a few witchspace jumps so both my karma and my legal status should be cleared by now...

I'm really sorry I couldn't make it, but that London is just a logistical nightmare to get to these days. I was surprised. Maybe it being a Sunday wasn't optimal I suppose.

If we do this again would somewhere more central be possible? Oxford would be cool since there are at least 2 solid ooliteers in that part of the country. I'm sure Giles can find a canal... ;-)

But yeah - I really enjoyed chatting with you all and would love to do so again...

More central? Oxford?

More central would be the five lamps in Derby, East-Midlands.

If you're at the pub and see someone wearing a yellow red and black Star Wars themed shirt shout out/wave when I arrive as I don't know what anybody looks like as my normally travelling companions @selezen and @drewwagar will be absent.
I would have thought "Thargoids on the starboard bow!" would have been an appropriate greeting.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxford_Canal linking the Thames and the Grand Union, so via those much of the remaining canal network.

How many light years of witchspace fuel can a narrow boat store, and does the good ship "Giles" have an avatar in-game?

Nah, Dizzy is a Queenslander.

For the past 12 years, I've been a Victorian. Mostly Melbourne. And for the last four years, in central Victoria.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Who the hell moves from Queensland to Victoria. Anyway, you don't counter-balance the millions who've moved in the other direction.
In your heart, you know it's flat.

You lucky chap! The medicine back then wasn’t as good, but etiquette was a darn sight better - as were standards of deportment.
