I've probably got the colours wrong, but the implication that I've been somehow awarded the cummerbund (armoured?) of Spam-Assassinery was clear.
How did I achieve that? I mean, I've no objection to assassinating spammers (hampered somewhat by lack of surgical skill for making the assassination suitably long-lasting. As memorable as such an event could possibly be) ... but to get the cummerbund accidentally ... what did I do.
And that suggests a new, rather gory, idea for the SF Trivia challenge.

Don't panic, you have not joined the Spam Assassins!
Oh well. What does spam assassinery mean? Since you're a sharp-shooter.
I also note, now, that in this reply the "explanation" bit of the footer is missing. Odd. Or left over from some decades-ago design choice?
Meh.
A minor point occurs - given the recent near-catastrophe, is the version of PHP-BB (?) anywhere near current? I know nowt about such, but keeping "up to date" is generally considered a Good Thing™.

Which sort-of implies that (on this board) you must have registered an account before posting. I probably saw something to that effect when I was signing up, but it was so long ago.
It also implies that there are people who allow account-free posting on their BBs - which seems a useful option for a honeypot, but otherwise ... ?
Verily, the spam-bots are subtle. My own blog, 100% of the comments have been from spam-bots - before I instituted mandatory moderating (by me).
