Pitviper Mark II Facelift

Post by phkb »

It's taken a while, but I'm finally happy with this one:

This is a straight replacement of the original textures. If you install this one, the old textures will not be used. So you have to decide which version you want: the original (in which case, don't install this one), or the new ones. I could also have made a pack that just adds new versions of the ship and therefore retains the old versions... but I didn't do that. If you want both versions, feel free to hack away at this OXP!

This pack includes 5 player versions of the Mark II.

Download here: PitviperMarkII_Facelift.oxz
I'll get it into the manager shortly.

Oh, and here's a link to the original Mark II thread: Pitviper Mark II release

Ooh yeah 8) ...
Top right takes the prize for me I think.

Here's an idea (optional cue to run for you life...): how about changing the CPV # for each model?
It would really be for a minor gain but a nice touch by my estimation.

A change in the model number would seem to indicate a change in specification, rather than just a paint job change. At the moment, there's only 1 Pitviper Mark II player version, so I'd probably have to come up with variations for each (eg +1 missile/-10 top speed, that sort of thing).

Coluber Pitvipers (3)

CPV-9333 (military "Vindicator" with special lasers and the civilian "Beast" with cargo hold)

CPV-12375 (Pitviper "Mk. II") - just military, I think

Fair enough.
