wow! why does it jump from $406.00 to $1015.00 without at least trying to bid $410 or something first? It's like it's put up all its budget in one go, silly bot!
maybe its author made a mistake and set its ai_type to dumbAI.plist or something

if you look at http://oolite.org you can see the browser gets a response. Which means there is a server serving that site.
And it also means they can track how many times the site is getting accessed. The more, the better.
So by looking at the access rate they probably estimate some value. Of course the owner of the site has the advantage of such measurement, not the others.

It is also interesting that a renewal is still priced at the same amount as it was before. Which could mean if Ahruman came back and asked for the domain.... But that is unlikely to happen.
