My entry for this one is SATURN 3, a movie that should only be watched if you really like bad films. This one takes itself seriously as opposed to something along the lines of Ed Wood's PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE which has its tongue-in-cheek moments.

Oh lord, I had suppressed all recollection of this … a bizarrely high-powered cast for such a bad film. But it's set on the Saturnian moon Tethys, so it definitely counts. Have an MBP for dredging up this detritus!

One of Weinbaum's "planetary" series, a series of stories set in a (moderately) consistent universe of interplanetary travel. They would probably have been more consistent if Weinbaum hadn't died very young and more work had been done on making them into a future history along the lines of Heinlein etc.

The (fair enough, deeply obscure) story with a fictional moon of Earth I was thinking of was the White Cow Moon, in R. A. Lafferty's short story "You Can't Go Back". The White Cow Moon is *very* low - you can climb up to it - and it comes to you when you blow the White Cow whistle. Whether or not it's strictly speaking "science fiction" is a matter of definition; a lot of Lafferty's stories are kind of slippery that way …

Ok. Let's try another "Five things" question - I'm looking for five stories / films / TV series / whatever in which alien entities control or replace humans, for evil and/or wholly alien reasons.

Good fantasy equivalents would be the use of the Imperius spell for mind control or the Polymorph potion or metamorphagus ability to take someone's place in the Harry Potter universe.

Usual rules - no more than one from any author or fictional universe, e.g. if the HP verse was allowed you could have any ONE of the above but not all three, and please wait at least a few hours between posts if you want to give more than one answer. Meaningless bonus points for weirdness, silliness, or anything else that gets my attention.

It's a long time since I've seen that - I know that they imitated generic humans, but did they actually replace real humans or mind-control them? I really have no idea. I'll count it as an answer for now, but some confirmation would be nice.
