Hi
Remembering the Pc-Version for Elite (elite plus) i was suprised just how slow my ship was.
As i dont see the point gameplaywise to wait 3 minutes till the ship which got me mass locked passes i would suggest an option for a faster oolite.
Yes i could change the speed of my ship alone but other ships and the gameplay mechanics would have to be adapted too.
(i.e. if the enemy ships move faster they are way harder to hit)
....Realism can be so boring thats why i play games
Option fore "fast" Oolite

@meier49 - You must remember the Oolite is not player-centric - the Ooniverse just happens - space is huge and to make it potentially interesting for the player (i.e you want to be a pirate and/or bounty hunter) so you can FIND other ships these ships are generally placed in the "spacelane" a direct line betwen the witchpoint beacon and the planet (oxps like sunskimmers also put them in a line between the beacon and the sun). so if you don't want to meet other ships - then when you first come out of witchspace find the planet - pull up so that the planet icon is still green but at the very bottom of your compass and then hit 'J' - 30 secs of this and you'll be out of the spacelane push the nose down so that the planet is central once more and you should encounter no/very few other ships.
For those odd occassions when you still might also buy some witchfuel injectors too.

And unlike all previous Elites, Oolite allows the pirate ships to be equipped with almost everything the player can have. So WFI are handy when they send a Hardhead missile at you!DaddyHoggy wrote:For those odd occassions when you still might also buy some witchfuel injectors too.

If you can't afford fuel injectors yet, then there's no problem!

@LB - if the Black Monks was a drug - you'd now be classed as a pusher...
