I'll replace half the Pi-42s with Tescoo Express' if someone does the texture.
Eh, looks easy. Might actually get to it myself
W.H. Smith is one of the few British stores I've ever shopped in (having not been out of airports on my few brief stays ).

@Doc
Perhaps "Oolworths"? a company which I thought was British but apparently started life in America
WalMart has already bought the Asda chain of stores in the UK - but have failed to increase their market share.Dr. Nil wrote:Tesco and Lidl might look big until Wal-Mart decides to consume Europe. But if we get supermarkets in the Ooniverse, let's have your Tescoos rather than the confusingly named Wool-Marts.
Where are you based Doc? I presume everybody is British until I have evidence to the contrary...Dr. Nil wrote:W.H. Smith is one of the few British stores I've ever shopped in (having not been out of airports on my few brief stays ).

@DH: That was fast I hope you can wait a bit for it to be released since I'll have to redo some plists in two oxps to get it to work alright.
I really prefer to remain the shady doctor , but since I asked for it myself: I'm from Denmark.

@Doc -
I don't mind waiting - knowing it will appear at some point is enough for me. Perhaps Tescoo_oxpress' could appear in sub 4Bil population systems and they could fight over the ones around 4 Bil? Just a thought?
So, you're from Denmark...
<clears throat> Hejsa, God Dag, Tak, Farvel </clears throat>
Which I'm hoping means Hello (hi?), Good Day, Thanks, (Good/Farewell?) Bye
Which (if they're right) are the only four Danish words I know - I tried to speak it to a couple of Danish F-16 pilots I met on a Trial - they smiled nicely - so I have no idea if I was right or not!

I'd prefer both to appear in systems with 4bn+ critters for a couple of reasons. One of them being that flavors imo work better providing their variation if limited a bit (I've tried to do this for the flavor expansions I've made so far since I don't think it would add as much to have eg. missionaries appear in every system - though they might according to how you travel). But more importantly the game would be broken, if almost every system had a station located close to the witchpoint where you could sell your goods at a slightly higher price than the main station. I've even considered going above 4bn (started at 5 but moved it down to ease playtesting)
Your Danish looks fine Pronounciation would be something like: Haiza, goeth day (or góday or goredarw depending on the dialect), tark, farvel.

Since you've playtested the oxp (of course you have silly to think otherwise ) I'm happy for you to decide on the balance/ratio/appearance of T_oxpress/Pi-42's.
To be honest - the fact that it's going in at all just gives me a warm tingling feeling!
Thanks for the danish pronunciation lesson - I may have been a little off the mark when I said them to the pilots ("HeyZa" and "Got dey") but I was probably pretty close with the others! (in my own head anyway )

Background/Wiki Entry (Hope you're paying attention Cap'n H (aka ACTN))
The Oolite Ordnance
Originally a small squadron of Asp Mk.IIs flown by pilots who had, at some point in their early career, upset someone higher up the food chain. The squadron existed purely within the AstroNavigation Corp of the Galactic Navy and is still relatively unknown outside this Corp. Their task was simple, find and make safe any ordnance fired by Galactic Navy Capital ships that may have, somehow, through no fault of the vessel's commander, missed the intended drone ship or asteroid that had been targetted during any particular training exercise. The Navy certainly didn't want any of its new torpedoes or hardened missiles to be found undamaged, floating in space and just waiting to be exploited by any hapless trader or pirate who happened to stumble across one and scoop it without blowing themselves to smithereens.
So these pilots became experts at detection, rescue, repair and, if required, elimination of small virtually undetectable, dead, but still potentially lethal weapons of mass destruction. They are excellent, if occasionally foolhardy, pilots weaving their way at max cruise through tightly packed asteroid fields picking off ordnance as they go.
Then, in a cost cutting exercise that shows why accountants shouldn't be in charge of anything and yet still are, the squadron was disbanded when it was clear that the technology behind many of the Navy's newest weapons were making it onto the "open" market anyway.
However, the squadron's enterprising Commander Officer, Nathan Isaacs, using the last of his family fortune, purchased the entire squadron of eight Navy Asps at a bargain basement price of 1M Cr and quickly rebranded the ships in their brightly coloured Yellow livery and offering, for a reasonable joining and subscription fee, a range of services from breakdown cover to ship defence.
From the original eight ships Nathan has franchised but only to other Asp pilots who pass a series of stringent piloting, gunnery and ship maintenance tests who then proudly repaint their ships in the Oolite Ordnance livery.
The Oolite Ordnance - join at any Galcop Station or Comm to a passing Oolite Ordnance ship for membership details and competitive rates.
Retextured ships/small oxp to follow should I work out precisely what I want the AIs to do!
Still can't get YOUR_AD_HERE to work anymore - Oolite now works with all my oxps in except that one don't know why - but I shall keep contributing nonetheless, but it does mean I can't test the inside of the Tescoo_Oxpress station (unless I can extract just the PI-42 its based on from the original oxp and test it in isolation)

Three ads more
Great ideas!
I've lost count for a moment, but there are at least ten slots available still.
@DH:Since there's been no other reports on this problem, I suspect that the problem could be on your pc.
Could I get you to try the following:
1) Download Your Ad Here - ignore if that's what you meant by "unzipping the original download" - but if you unzipped something you had on your hard drive, it could be that you're trying to run v.1.0 which would have you wait for very long for the game to start up.
2) Try to run the game with only Your Ad Here installed - the problem could be that you are using parts from Your Ad Here in your experimental oxps and simply have forgot to rename every model, texture, entity and such.
3) Post your error log in this thread, if it still doesn't work with only Your Ad Here (v.1.01) installed.
