Post by Killer Wolf »

Short answer: no!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

USEFUL M.F.D.s will show you your Legal Status and Bounty Amount and it was just updated earlier today. If you do not use M.F.D.s look at the script.js file in its Config folder for the proper code to display your Legal Status and Bounty Amount (around line 97 according to Notepad++). That code can be adapted to display its information somewhere on your H.U.D. if you are up for doing the TWEAK thing.

If you have phkb's Bounty System installed, then you can look up your bounties on the F4 screen in the GalCop security office.

If you have Beetle Bethlehem's Life in the Frontier installed you can just saunter up to the GalCop precinct and look at one of their terminals and see (and pay) your bounty.

cheers all. got Thargoid's OXP, works great :-)

EDIT - so what's the reduction formula, random? killed some offenders, got bounties, mine was reduced. killed others, w/ and w/out gtting a bounty, and it hasn't changed.
EDIT - oh, does it only update when you're docked?

Time was, your bounty would halve with every hyperspace jump, but that might've changed.

That's still true if you have basically no OXPs/OXZs installed.

Anarchies changes the workings of the bounty system (and offers amnesties to compensate). So does the Bounty System OXP. I'm unsure if GalCop's Most Wanted OXP does it too...

Thanks - been a while since I ran as a fugitive. And I have no OXPs which would affect that.

i have Anarchies - seemed to drop about 5 ~ 7 Cr each time, far as i could tell. got down to 79Cr and was still Fugitive, don't know when i would have dropped to Offender but i Gal-hopped to G3 for the next mission and got clean again.

Did not know about Thargoid's OXP. It has been added to my Ooniverse with a few minor changes so Thank You for that.

The aforementioned Bounty System and Anarchies OXZ's are the main changers of the way bounties work versus the vanilla game. Bounty System makes the most dramatic changes. Bounties become persistent across systems and Sectors along with several other major and minor changes that are best left for the player to discover. Fugitive Status applies when your Bounty exceeds 50 ₢ and therefore drops down to Offender status when your Bounty is below 50 ₢.

That's no surprise, I don't think it's on any lists. It's been in my Ooniverse since it was released in 2011.
If it's the same as mine, the readme is mixed up - but you don't need a readme for such a tiny OXP.

It doesn't do anything additional to bounties, but the "Bounty System" OXP is a requirement for it.
