How can I remove the glare of the sun?

Hi commanders,
Q : How can I remove the glare of the sun?

I have downloaded a few Ambience OXPs but I cannot see from their description if they edit the appearance of suns.

I tried to use my fuel scoops to Sun-skim, but blew up. I couldn't see if the sun was only in the lower half of the screen, due to the massive glare saturating the entire Front view. It even saturated all the other views.

Ideally I would be able to see the sun like this:

You could try Spara's Glare Filter - it should be available from the expansion manager.

You'll want NoFlare as well, the glare filter does not seem to help much.

There is also Glare Clarifier for this.

I presume you have  external heat shielding? If you have injectors (and some fuel left), use them for fuel-scooping.

i stumbled across the "glare-filter" entry in the shipdata, and tried it on my King Cobra copy - seems to work very well. natively, i end up w/ a white screen in some regions, even w/ the multiplier setting thingy turned down.

Yes, i have heat shields and witchdrive fuel injectors.

With F injectors, I assume you are suggesting that I use them to speed away from the sun when i have a full tank but the cabin temperature keeps rising... correct?

No... if you have fuel left before skimming, as soon as the sun masslocks you, hit the injectors and get in fast.
Once tanked-up, then you get out fast (either injector away and/or hyperspace out).
