Does an add-on determine our ability to dock in a Rock Hermit
Not usually the ability to dock, but anything like how many RH's you can find, the type/quantity of commodities for sale, access to special equipment/services; they're more likely to be what OXP's will do to Rock Hermits.
I think I will now claw my way up to Xexedi in the top left of G1. I'm currently still down in the bottom right, Riraes and Retila etc, not much of a holiday resort, Anarchies left and right.
The best thing about the Xexedi-Laenin run is the short distance - plenty of fuel for the burners!
Can't wait to get up there.
Just tried to cross west from Qubeen to Soladies... but discovered that it's further than 7 LR
... will have to turn north.
Near your starting area of Retilla and Rirares there is Raleen (Rich Ind. TL11 Confederacy) and pretty near it is Qube (Rich Agri. TL7 Corporate State) and Beti (Avg. Agri. Tl6 Dictatorship). Those are safer trading places than where you started.
As for crossing the void near Qubeen...I do know of a misjump route from Beti or Arraesso to Quorte, but it requires misjumping on another ship's wormhole to do it using stock Oolite.
Do it right, and you'll find yourself at the midway point with a full tank (and Thargoids). The poor NPC will dive into your wormhole when you hyperspace onward. Misjump your own wormhole (easier to do as you have the countdown), and you won't have a full tank - this can be a problem!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
