Having managed to drop some hard-earned cargo in the heat of combat by hitting "d" by mistake, i commented it out of the plist. i've just done it again, a few days later ~ why hasn't the amended plist worked? :-/

Are you using standard Oolite 1.90, or the trunk release 1.91?
Also, dump cargo is normally Shift+d, not d on its own.

i'm using 1.9
Shift+D is docking on my set up [hence ejection when i've missed the Shift], althogh c works too.

Rather than comment it out, try assigning it to another key combination. Oolite will default key presses it can’t find in the keyconfig.plist file.

Rather than comment it out, I used to leave the actual key blank thus: key_fire_lasers = ""; which seemed to work.
The beauty of the new in-game key-config is if I forget to plug my joystick in, I can swiftly assign a "Fire" key.
