Last time I checked Arquebus had just the 3 Oolite playlists and was filling out the third...
Oof! You're right! Totally missed those....combination of small screen and old eyes.

OK..so far I have:
Background set
Cabal common library
Explorers club
Griff station bundle
Market observer
Random shipnames
Welcome mat
Traffic control
Lave academy
Random hits
Firefly transport class (love this ship)

I'm looking to mostly trade and and do the odd mission here and there, exploring as i go, not massively into combat, but might do a bit of bounty hunting later on.

I would like to pretty up my ooniverse, but the choices are overwhelming, so I'll probably build things up slowly.

It should not yet affect your play, but just be aware that Cabal Common Library was deprecated and replaced by Library.oxp - and you will need that version if you start downloading more recent oxp's

Have you seen https://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Oolite_Stations ? (Pictures of stations)

Hello Commanders

I've lurked on and off on this forum for years, having first played Oolite back in 2013 or so on Windows. I got back into playing in the Mac last year, and finally got around to joining. Currently just hit Deadly in Gal 4 flying an overpowered Boa Class Cruiser.

Back in the day I spent far too many of my teen years playing Elite on the Beeb (showing my age here!). I was reading the 6502 source code on bbcelite.com which got me itching to play again.

I have some programming experience - might have a go at creating oxps at some point.

Welcome aboard, Commander!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Welcome to the merry throng!

What sort of oxp's interest you on the creation front?

The eyesight isn't what it was, that must be why I see indecent shapes everywhere.

Yep, same here. I've had to stop playing the game for the time being (more eye surgery is on the cards).
My optician is of the opinion that too much video gaming is partly to blame.

Ugh, not envying that surgery. Good luck. I got me some glasses that I keep forgetting to use.

I'm JazHaz, aka James Haslam.

I played Elite at school on their BBC Micros in 1984 (with a pirated floppy disc), was blown away. I played it as often as I could, blowing lunchtimes and breaks playing it until I got to Deadly.

Had a Spectrum at home and bought Elite as soon as it came out. Was equally blown away, didn't even mind using a Lenslok...

Bought an Atari ST in 1986 and got Elite for that, and later in 1993 Frontier too. In 1996 I bought the 32 bit Atari Falcon and found Frontier was a joy to play on that (on the ST it was merely "meh").

Played Elite:TNK after I got a second hand PC in about 1998, and then in 2009 discovered Oolite, where I have been ever since.

Looking forward to Elite: Dangerous, where I already have god-like powers as a member of the DDF... 8)
Hi, just thought I should introduce myself.

I started playing Elite possibly back in 1984, on an Acorn Electron.

White on black wireframes only. It was very austere, but I still loved it.
... I see you played it on the Ateri ST... what was that like?

Now I am on Oolite, trying to dock on Isinor (near Lave), and the space station will not give me permission. I don't have a missle in order to target the station, in order to press SHIFT + L to ask for permission. They just won't let me dock.

... Any advice would be geatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi and welcome. You don't need a missile to be able to target other ships and stations. You can target the station by pressing 'r', the ID computer, and then you should be able to request docking permission.
