I am jealous and annoyed in approximately that order, Cody's and Cholmondely's gameplay looks so bloody good. I am suddenly wondering what textures and ambience I am missing and will probably spend most of tomorrow stacking such oxps until my setup looks this good.

Cody uses hardly any oxp's at all - but ask him yourself!

Have you seen Guide to Ambience OXPs on our wiki? (An attempt to make sense of the hoards of relevant oxp's).

I tend to use Strangers World, but have recently (under Cody's & LittleBear's advice) been trying out Povray Planets.

Edited to add: when I add both, I get the Povray textures with the SW solar systems.

I'm into dockables. I'm a great fan of Killer Wolf's stations, and use others which work with Stranger's World. Have you seen the Oolite Stations page?

Nice terminator!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

<grins> Making light of a weighty subject, eh?
"The cosmos is like one of those ancient clockwork computers. A lot of fixed, unbendable elements and unbreakable physical laws.
If it was truly immutable, then no-one, not even the crusty-est of crusty old flyers, would bother, because of the absolute monotony of it all. 'Nothing to see here, move along', right?
But obviously, the old Christian god, Lord Giles, Ebsorta, the spaghetti monster, place your favorite deity here, has an artistic streak. Boring, endless darkness simply will not do! And thus, there's many interesting things to see!"

The observation of the fair young dracolid above can make it into your Hints oxp, perhaps?

BTW, she's right. Whether you gaze at the subtle chaos of a nebula, count the rings of debris around a gas giant, or enjoy more base attractions like a fierce frog mud wrestling match at a seedy bar - and I'll let your imagination run wild with that one, you rascal! - we're all space tourists as soon as we launch from a station. Pack a camera.

A freighter carrying unstable materials. Should have been appropriately marked, eh?

EDIT: This might explain what happened to the esteemed Captain Hesperus.
While he always had a knack for somehow surviving his misadventures in spite of the odds,
being blown to flaming smithereens is not how I would picture his end.

Trumbles plus TNT equals Things Going Horribly Wrong.
