What's the size of a Cobra 3, has an IC's feet, has a Mamba's front and a Python's butt?
It's the Phoenix, a multirole ship built from the chopped hulls and reconditioned components of shot-up abandoned wrecks, by a salvage company and a ship customizer shop.
The engine rotors spin, and damage the ship if shot off by substained laser bursts - but they're small targets to draw a bead on, much less blast long enough to shoot off. (A little playing around with subentities there.)
Until it shows on Oosat,
Download the Phoenix here.

I vote it is immediately renamed the "Platty" in honour of the ancient Earth creature the Duck-Billed Platypus - which when the first (dead) specimen returned from Australia its discoverers were accused of stitching together the remains of other animals as no such creature could have ever developed in nature....

It's a frankenstein, actually.
It's called the Phoenix for a good reason - it's a living ship born of the laserscorched remains of dead ones. The included ReadMe explains that, along with some details for the technically curious.

Now, that is novel!

I found myself thinking one day...
Chop shops that specalize in modified Cobbies are booming, and might use recycled parts.
Dredgers must do something with the wreckage they collect.
Hognoses drag off abandoned ships for some reason.
And there's some mula to be made in scooping hull plate after a fight.
hmm...
Don't it make sense that at least one of these operations would produce a ship using the collected junk?

"So Doc, gonna crack a joke about it being one of your ex-mothers-in-law?"
"No. Such a description would have to begin with 'the tongue of a Viper'."

The link goes to http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/62619/ ... -zip.html.
Scroll down to the bottom, enter the code in the little graphic there - usually three numbers - and click 'submit'. If that flops, click 'redraw' and try again.
The next page has a "please wait" timer. Let it count down, then it becomes a "download" button.
