Anarchies: 20 ships? but there seems to be a lot of repetition (anarchies collage above) Commies: 7 ships? Dictatorships: 8 ships (including repetition) Feudal States: 3 ships with a zillion versions of each (different coats of arms).
...how do you feel about the brand name of the Coral liners?
Couldn't find it. It's not listed in the Ship's Library, and when I try to open your new Lave.oxp it turns into a massive 20mb text file rather than a folder...

Thanks for illustration, but.. mon dieu!
I didn't make library entries for the Lave critters, but I can't understand the event you're explaining. It downloads fine for me when I try it now, resulting in the usual file.
Is it possible some freak accident happened during your download? Would you try to fetch it again and see if it is the same?
I was young, I was naïve. Jonny Cuba made me do it!

I'm not sure it will make any difference. I've just tried changing the .oxp ending to .txt for all five Iron Ass .oxp's - and your new wpb.oxp - the same issue with each and every one of them. I've not had this before. Not even with your old oxp's.
It's some sort of Scandinavian thing, right? Something to do with the tragic loss of Sweden in 1905, or the devastating forfeiture of Denmark in 1814? Or does it date back to missing out on the Swedish celebration of February 30th back in 1712?

But I don't understand what you would achieve by changing the suffix.
You controlclick to expose package contents.. and then in that folder you would blah.. Or remove the suffix altogether making it a regular folder.. but you know this, so I don't understand.

That's some compact, merciless deep-cutting to my inflated sense of patriotism. You must have detected a weakness there.

Nope.
The way I've opened .oxp's for the past year and a half is to click on the name and change
- which transmogrifies the bally thing into a folder which I can then pick over to my heart's content (unless it is one of yours).
Removing the suffix does nothing - my AppleMac remembers it is an .oxp
The .oxz's get dragged onto Archive Utility which blows them up.
Ah, yes it would remember it's an OXP, nevermind.
But. Pressing ctrl while clicking on the oxp (or rightclicking with one's 2-button mouse) exposes menu that offers to show the package contents. This is the only way to do it as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, altering .oxp to .txt would make you one huge text doc, I can't imagine anything else happening. I 'll have to try this with a PC-made oxp.
Maybe you are experiencing this pure form of file treatment because it's the first time you've ever received an OXP directly from another mac?

But I've opened zillions of oxp's using this method. Never had a problem before today. And some of them will have been from Mac users (including your early ones...). No problems with your original Lave, Diso, Refugee Adder, etc. Or with Stranger's .oxp offerings (PlanetLand) - he also uses a Mac.

I don't think you can rule out PC middle men in those cases. Mine (new ones) are the only pure Mac OXP you've laid your hands on
Just tried your txt trick with a PCmade OXP. Cute. But highly irregular.

So now that the Jobs Lobster permits all to be transparent, what was your reaction?

This constore really does contain a lot of different ad screens, it is a puzzle itself to find out what everything is and does.
it will take some time to convert this fully to a constore casino...
