Lost OXP's

Post by Gimi »

I have been away from Oolite since 2006, and I see now from the BB that OXP's were lost owing to a site crash in Oct 06. I downloaded most of the OXP's in september 2006 (well 39 of them). Are these of any intrest to anyone. If anybody would like to go through them and pick out the relevant ones for posting on the Wiki I can upload or e-mail them somewhere.

Sure this is interesting!

Could you post a list of the "lost ones", perhaps?

Thanks & welcome :D

I think that nearly none of those are lost; the SIRFYard.oxp has become part of the Realistic Shipyards Expansion.

Except, if there are the missions that were planned for the SIRFYard.oxp - no copy of those exists to my knowledge (yet).

Perhaps fsr.oxp is a lost one. Couldn`t find it here:

http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/OXP

... the rest should be there.

The readme of fsr.zip reads:
--------------------------------
fsr.oxp v.2
murgh
jan 2006

an oxp with Frog Space Rickshaw

reduxed
improved AI
specific vocab base
indistrial system appearance script

can still be improved
--------------------------------
Not sure what it is....

--------------------------------
No readme and no hint of any mission txt in SIRFYards.

I'll just leave the files on my server for now. If anyone wants one of them I'll happily provide...

Then fsr.oxp should be on the wiki, too, and is also part of Realistic Shipyards.

Please note also that a couple of these OXPs have been revised since you downloaded them, so there is actually a newer version available.

I know. I have completely reinstalled with new downloads. I just happen to have all these old OXP files in a separate directory from the last time I dug into OOlite. Never played it much then, as it kept crashing on me. Seems to by much better now though.

Ok, does that mean that someone needs the file, and if so, who.

Don`t know, actually. Perhaps you could ask this on a separate thread for better findability (that word doesn`t actually exist, does it?) in the Expansions forum?

Well said.
Pigs in space is cool too.

My other favourite used to belong to Astrobe I think (?)
It was a lego spaceman with some presumably lunar landscape in the background...

Thank you for saying so. I have some affinity with the little buggers.

Of course Pigs in Space is eternal. I also have a soft spot for RedSpear's avatar, I feel pretty sure it brings me back to an ad in an issue of Zzap64! in '85.
