Just accessed it and found that the site was up for sale - although the content is still there.
It might just be the McNasties putting the frighteners on him, or it may be more serious.
Truth is, we don't know!

Re: Ian Bell's Website up for sale
I see nothing about it being up for sale. Am I missing something?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

That's a relief. IB must have sorted out whatever the issue was.
When I went on it this morning, a new page came up when I moved around inside it, saying that the "iancgbell.clara.net" site was for sale.
But I presume that jongware.com's days must be numbered.

Yes, his site is a treasure! He does seem to have a new email address though (or more likely a secondary one).

Re: Ian Bell's Website up for sale
Have you guys seen the pages where they've dissasembled (?) the BBC micro elite code and go through it explaining all the routines and stuff, It's fascinating - I think they have all the ship geometry data and stuff there, typically now i've mentioned it i don't actually know the URL, can probably dig it up through
Would be a great loss if Ian Bell's site went off line, I wonder if David Braben was fast enough to try and get a purchase request in, I bet he's kicking himself if he missed out
