carrier market reputation
Hi,
I've just jumped into galactic sector three, and my excellent reputation (and income) as a carrier of precious metals and gemstones seems to have vanished: I'm not getting offered those 60,000 cr paycheques any more to deliver things.
Is this a game feature (ie, you need to build a reputation in each sector) or a bug in 1.72?
Thanks

Reputation restored
My reputation went up pretty quickly after doing a few deliveries. Does one's legal status have any effect on value of contracts offered?

Re: carrier market reputation
Does one's delivery reputation still change (like one's legal status does) when moving between galaxies?

Re: carrier market reputation
Just jumped from the seventh into the eighth to check that, and my parcel courier rank (Elite) is unchanged.
Can't answer for cargo or passenger carrying, and my copy of the (original) OXP is somewhat butchered.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: carrier market reputation
Thanks.
I thought that all three were vanilla game issues.
I can now update the Communication wiki page.

Re: carrier market reputation
I think it was a core game issue, but I didn't start using the OXP 'til parcels were introduced, so don't know when/if it was fixed.

Re: carrier market reputation
Does it matter?
I can't see an OXP changing inter-galactic reputation, so I presume that it is a matter of vanilla game coding.
So:
Jumping from one galaxy to another:
Credit rating is preserved.
Delivery Reputation is preserved.
(Il)Legal Status is lost.
Pretty bizarre, what?

As opposed to Bizaar, which is not pretty! A classic choke-point, is Bizaar - but poor agri/anarchies are good places to do business!
Pro tip: if you're going to jump to the next octant, take a holdful of narcotics with you!Fugitive status is lost.

Such doings will follow you if you have phkb's BOUNTY SYSTEM OXZ in your ManagedAddOns Folder. Your Extremely Evil actions will follow you wherever you may roam if this nice piece of work is in use. That is until you pay your fines in one way or another. Be forewarned lest the Bounty Hunters catch up with you.
