Joystick, roll/pitch precision toggle

Post by 3DH »

Translator:
This is to make aiming easier, right? This works on the keyboard, but on the Dualshock 4 analog it doesn't seem to do anything. Is this some kind of bug or am I doing something wrong?

I can't help with this one, sorry. But phkb has used a controller and may have an idea. As might one of our other developers, or somebody else.

Have you ever had issues like this before with your controller?

Oh... and does the precision indicator show on your HUD?

And does it change colour when you press ctrl on the keyboard? (keyboard button must be kept depressed)

And change colour when you depress the appropriate button you selected on your controller (controller button works differently: press once to toggle)?

Yes, it shows up on the HUD. But it only changes color when I use DS4. Still, I don't feel any difference.

Ctrl works, I can feel the difference, but I can't see it on the HUD.

I generally don't use the precision toggle, and I don't have it mapped to anything. I found when I was using it (years ago!) I would end up in situations where I accidentally turned it on and then got turned into chunky salsa in the next pirate encounter because I had the turning speed of a sperm whale! I'll have a play with it again and confirm it's still working.
