Thargoid War @ Biorle - Missing expansion pack wanted

Hi,

During initiall installations of OOLite, I installed some expansion packs without really mentioning which I used. I am just in the beginning, one of my missions is to find a hidden planet close to Biorle. The planet can be found by a forced missjump. And when I did the missjump, end up in between a battle between Galcop and Thargoid: I am not only surrounded by Thargoid Warships but also from a Galcop fleet fighting each other.

For some reason I had to reinstall my system and lost the OOLite installation including save games. As I was not very far in the game, the loss did not hurt too much. Now I am back at Biorle - about to force the missjump to find the hidden planet. But now only Thargoids are here - no between those two parties.

Obviously, I missed to install one expansion pack. - Can anybody remember the correct expansion pack which I need to install?

Not my area of expertise - but until an expert comes along, "Behemoth" is the oxp that comes to my mind.

Oh: and if it is possible to dig up your original "Latest.log" - it might now be "Previous.log" (see the wiki for details of where it might be lurking) - that will give you the complete list of OXPs you were playing with.

I think it's called "Tionisla Reporter". But I believe you might first need to get the "invitation" to the mission before the miss jump does anything, so if you had to start a new savegame, you might also start the mission from scratch.

I thought Galactic Navy was kaput. And no updates as no license. Nor is it on the Expansions Manager. Galactic SatNav is on the EM, but I don't quite think it has the same effect!

No idea about that, as GN was never of interest to me! I just did a quick search and posted the link - terrible, eh?
I could say I had other things on my mind at the time, but that's no excuse!

As mentioned before, if your latest.log/previous.log file has not been expunged from your hard disk, it will contain a list of all the oxp's you had loaded into your game.

Yes, "Tionisla Reporter" is definately required - it does containe the mission which puts me to do the miss-jump, however I think this is just the surrounding story. "Behemoth" is required, too. I remember that ships. Both OXPs were allready installed before I placed this questions - so I guess I miss a third one or there is another dependency I did not notice. Maybe some settings?

I just downloaded the Galactic Navy, but how do I install if it is not on the Expension pack list?
I can not recover the log-files. But is there some other options to find it form saved games?
Also: I am using an active directory domain - might some files be stored individually for users or is every stored under c:/oolite ...?

GN is still functioning, there are problems (like a broken market) but the main missions are still working.

You are right, those two packs are independent! It is just that Tionisla reporter is the story baseline to missjump from Biorle. The Behemoth is just the ship I remember. It was simply there, but I suppose it would be there on any missjump.

Just fore safety purposes: My Addons folder is empty, isn't it? Even though I am runing > 100 Addons - Do I am guessing right: ZIP files are downloaded to the Add-On folder and then extracted / removed from there during installtion?

If you download an OXP manually, it will go to your computer's default Downloads location. You then need to extract/unzip it, and take the .oxp folder and drop it into your AddOns folder yourself. The game will then detect it and run it from there.
