I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

So, accidentally fired on the station whilst multi tasking (drinking a coffee and eating a biscuit) is it frowned upon that i edited my save file to revert legal status back to clean. Asking for a friend

Re: Introduce Yourself.
There was a debate about cheating on these boards some time ago.commander_matt wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 4:13 pmSo, accidentally fired on the station whilst multi tasking (drinking a coffee and eating a biscuit) is it frowned upon that i edited my save file to revert legal status back to clean. I remember the convincing argument that Oolite is a game that you play all by yourself. So what would cheating be?
• You can't cheat anybody else.
• You can cheat yourself - but what would it consist of? If it happened by accident, is it a cheat? According to some, yes! According to others, no!
* You, Sir Matt (or your chum), are the only judge whose views count in this matter!
NB: What do you think of the changes to the game since 2010?

Re: Introduce Yourself.
Some valid points made, my “friend” is hanging his head in shame. Although, having your Oolite machine sitting next to your home work laptop is probably not a good idea either LOL
Back to the game, I’ve installed a lot of OXPs and they really add to the feel and playability of the game, so yes, I’m loving the advancements made since 2010. Tried to add in some of the 8k planet updates but my 2009 iMac not up to it
Currently re reading the Dark Wheel to enhance my emersion into the Elite universe again....now where is Raxxla!

<frowns> Welcome back, Commander! Raxxla does not exist, neither does the Dark Wheel.
Attention, Cholly - typo on the Raxxla wiki page (Raxxka)!

Hi all
Many thanks to Cody for unlocking the door, 's good to be here.
I'm back at the controls of a Cobra for the first time in a dozen or so Oorbits, tho' there's a distant memory or three of an Amstrad 6128 and an ancient, magnetic medium from the '80s somewhere on the fringe of consciousness. My, how time&space melds..
cheers

Welcome aboard, Commander! No idea what the problem was, but 'tis sorted now. The Oolite embassy at SSC comes in handy sometimes.

Hi, Commander McEbb here.
played Elite on a C128 home computer in 1984 ... Now, my kids do not need that much attention, I step back to the roots and found oolite. Perfekt, loving it.
cheers, lucky business and good hunting
