Hey, not a bad looking piece of equipment, but may turn out to be a bit pricey just for playing Oolite... :?

Hey, if you're going to port it to a console, port it to a decent one like a PS2/3, Xbox, Wii... :D

Now there's an idea. Anybody up for Oo Studios, Ltd.? :D

I'd like to see you pull out an XBox 360 or a Wii on the bus to get at quick fix of Oolite. :^j If you're lucky, there will be a tv there already.

Elite on PSP

Post by Bluefusion »

This was my original post, but I finally found a way of playing Elite on the Sony PSP.

There are two Game Boy Advance emulators that run on the PSP, and using these I managed to open the Elite GBA rom file, and can now play Elite on my PSP. :D

The interface is really nice and although not as fluid as playing it via a keyboard, it kept me entertained on a recent 3 hour flight.

Great Stuff.

Question: its a freaking PSP........it doesnt have anything in the way of computer capibilities beyond gaming, and limited internet surfing....anyways even if it COULD run Oolite....thered be way to much FPS lag, and the graphics would probaly be rather sub-par

I think we're all forgetting something: Oolite uses a lot of buttons!
You'd have to work out a scroll-selection thing in order to press everything.

I realize this is an old thread, but is there any possibility of this happening? I would love to play Oolite on the go, and I wonder if there has been any progress in the past 2 years.

If you read my above post YES - you can play elite on the PSP via the gameboy advance emulator.

Yes there are no keys - but you don't need them on the gameboy version!

Now I want an iphone version!
