While this SAX event based parser is better for memory management than the tree based parsers of SimpleXML and DOM, the pull-based parser XMLReader is much easier to use than the xml_parser_* functions, and still doesn't require loading the file into memory.

I must confess, it's all gobbledegook to me. Don't understand it. XML? XML Parser? Don't understand what - if anything - I'm supposed to do.

Just tried looking at the wiki and while I got to see the wiki page, this was plastered across the top of it:

If you have just installed MediaWiki
You probably installed from git, or directly from the source code using some other method. This is expected. Try installing some skins from mediawiki.org's skin directory, by:

Downloading the tarball installer, which comes with several skins and extensions. You can copy and paste the skins/ directory from it.
Downloading individual skin tarballs from mediawiki.org.
Using Git to download skins.

Doing this should not interfere with your git repository if you're a MediaWiki developer.

If you have just upgraded MediaWiki
MediaWiki 1.24 and newer no longer automatically enables installed skins (see Manual: Skin autodiscovery). You can paste the following lines into LocalSettings.php to enable all installed skins:

wfLoadSkin( 'CologneBlue' );
wfLoadSkin( 'Modern' );
wfLoadSkin( 'MonoBook' );
wfLoadSkin( 'Timeless' );
wfLoadSkin( 'Vector' );

If you have just modified LocalSettings.php
Double-check the skin names for typos.

It seems to be one of the few cases of lore being based on the game code: Captain Carruthers of HIMSN! Can you tell me, in Classic Elite, was Captain Carruthers also in Her Imperial Majesty's Space Navy?
