I setup a new backup server (meant to do that for a long time already) and restored my latest backup. For the time being, you can reach it at http://85.214.218.129/mediawiki. It contains the wiki edits until end of September 2020, and is set to read-only (like the "old" backup server). What does not work (can't get it to install...) is the Semantic MediaWiki extension, so ship stats are displayed in a somewhat broken way. It looks like everything else works. Let me know if there is something that does not.

Will you be keeping the 2012 version safe somewhere? It's interesting to see how things have changed in the past 8 years!

It only exists because when we made major changes in 2012 I wanted to have a sandbox to try out stuff as not to break the real wiki. If I create a new sandbox, I would rather have an up-to-date one. Have you tried archive.org for wiki.alioth.net? It goes back all the way to 2006, but I have not checked how comprehensively it copied the wiki pages.

It has a domain name now, you can reach it at http://backup.witchspacewiki.org. The previous URL (with the IP address) is taken down.
