Good day,

Have been playing Elite on my Commodore 64 for ages, found Oolite years ago for my iMac Power PC, and now I'm playing again, on my iMac 1,6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5. I'm glad to be back again!

Another Mac user here... MacPro from 2009, convinced it to be happy with the latest MacOS. Also just got myself a joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, thanks Cody for the suggestion) after flying by keyboard ever since the good old days of Elite on C=64. Still need to get accustomed to it though.

By the way, anybody checking into the IRC oolite channel once in a while, or is this pretty much abandoned?

Hah, I'd guess as long as the channel is still on, at least the channel's bot would check 24/7 :)
(at least that's how I remember it was in Undernet)

I'm Mishel from Dhaka, Bangladesh, This side of Riedquat...

In 1985 when everybody was playing Elite, I was barely scratching surface of the earth :P

Few years back I was started playing Oolite while searching for a space trading game. after becoming dangerously dangerous I stoped playing for some reason.

Last year (or last month) I started playing oolite again... :D

By the way who owns my Caduceous Alpha I was driving last time? It must have become an Omega by now

How are things in Dhaka: are your family all safe and well? Do most people wear masks et cetera? Are the hospitals coping?

And ... how did you discover Oolite in the first place? And what sort of contraption are you playing it on?

Good to know. It's been about 9 years since I was last in here I think. Maybe a bit less. Starting from scratch. No oxps. Will start with the pretty stuff.

Hi ya, just getting back into Oolite after a loooonnnnggg time away. Remember now why I loved this game so much. It’s Elite, it’s Cobra M3’s, it’s Thargoids. Jut want to say massive thank you to everyone involved in keeping this going, growing it and making it such great game. Right On Commanders!
