Not quite sure if this can be called a bug in 1.90, but if it isn't, it certainly is a mighty big oversight:

There is no texturing of any kind - or even basic colour - to any of the planets, not even in Strict Mode, when on Minimum Detail (ie. no drivers or shaders). I'm currently testing oxps on a Win 7, Intel Core-2 Duo (2010-vintage laptop).

Was wondering also if there happens to be a plist fix for this omission.

Cannot reproduce here. Can we see a Latest.log please?

The problem here is that you do not have any 3D gfx drivers installed on the system. This causes Oolite to fall back to software rendering, which is guaranteed to have unpredictable results and is simply unfit for any game with 3d graphics.

Probably the best solution here would be to change the minimum OpenGL requirements of Oolite to at least OpenGL v1.4, which would result in flat out refusal to run on anything less.

In the meantime, your working solution would be to install graphics drivers for your card.

Thanks. Drivers for it appear to be unavailable, otherwise I would have installed them.

Oh well, back to 1.82 for the lappy... I can live with black holes for testing :)

A further observation, if you'll permit: it seems hardly in the spirit of Oolite's assumed basic remit to emulate at minimum PC Elite Plus (which used flood-fill for its planets and suns) not to do likewise for minimum-speccers who wish to sample Oo's delights... Surely SDL can manage a flood-fill or two? (well, I know it can - I've used it).
