I really hope that oolite will add a whole bunch of new stuffs in the next update. I recommend planetary landing and extra places to the Ooniverse so the game is more like the Elite Dangerous

Did you have a look a the available expansion packs yet ? Planetary landing for example is available with http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Planetfall_OXP

That might be just a tad on the ambitious side , montana05 is right though, that oxp is worth looking at.

Meanwhile there are all kinds of oddities you can populate oolite with.
For example...

Plus many more that I haven't included.

All of those OXP were great, I know, but I hope someday we could actually interact with stuff, not just texts on a screen, that would be much better, but I agree that's quite ambitious.
