One more to go.
Death of a thousand cuts for this one.

"The Algebrist" way of space travel (by making use of the "no-pressure" point of the "high pressure" gas giants)?

OK, that qualifies, I think, which makes it five.

Some others include the technological singularity of Stross's Singularity Sky, the psychic singularity of Clarke's Childhood's End, nanotech sinularities such as Bear's Blood Music, etc. etc.

Over to you!

Look it up anywhere you like, amigo - no such rules here!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Then it's "Death". First appearance in Mort.

EDIT: Just to put things right, the first appearance was in "The Colour of Magic" as per Commander Malacandra's feedback.

Five teenagers, orphans, with extraordinary powers defend Earth and the Federation from an evil ruler and his minions. Their names, please.

Nope.

Hint 1:
Actually one of them was grown in a laboratory from a single embryonic cell. That said, his speach being a little peculiar, it is thought that this was a result of his creation.
