How to upgrade to Oolite 1.86

Been away from Oolite for awhile, but recently returned to play. I have a well equipped ship in version 1.80 & would like to upgrade to 1.86. Can I just install 1.86 & it will keep my ship, credits, kills, OXPs, etc., or will I have to start over? This answer should be posted on the download site. Thanks

Maybe should add, I'm on a PC with Windows 7, 64 bit.

Welcome back. You should be able to uninstall Oolite 1.80 from the game's Start menu uninstall option. This will preserve any OXPs and savegames you may have (still, taking a backup of both before uninstalling is never a bad idea). Then, you can just run the 1.86 installer and point it to install in the same folder 1.80 was before.

Note that you may have to repeat the process in a few days, though. 1.88 is just around the corner and it's bringing big graphics updates (and more) with it.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking & hoping for. I'll give it a shot today.
