Er, what? This is someone with no advertising in his profile, who hasn’t posted anything. What exactly differentiates this from someone who hasn’t got around to saying anything or customising their profile yet? Be reasonable, people. The existance of board members who haven’t contributed anything is not going to bring the place down in flames.

I delete their spam-message, and then report them, so it looks like they have not posted yet...

I mean: when I find spam, I look up the profile, copy it to the buffer, then delete the spam and then paste their profile here for reporting. So if you later look up the profile it says zero messages.

that's just because I don't think keeping spam-post around for double checking makes much sense, spam is spam, it's simple and annoying, so just delete it ASAP when you find it.

I don't put up people that did not spam, honestly, I'm not that crazy. (Though I'm a little bit crazy, heh)

Could it be...?

https://bb.oolite.space/profile.php?mode ... ile&u=1285

Edit: to keep the list neat and tidy, can anyone delete this one:

https://bb.oolite.space/profile.php?mode ... file&u=808 ?

That was my first try to register but I never got a confirmation e-mail, so after three weeks I registered again with my current handle. Thanks.

Done. I’m not sure whether “normal” users can change their handles; if not, I can do it for you if you like.

I don't think "normal" applies to any Ooliteer

There's a setting in the phpBB admin screens
General Admin / Configuration / User and Forum Basic Settings
"Allow Username changes" can be set on or off for the board.

Personally I'm inclined to leave it switched off as I don't see any good reason to allow members to do that. A member who really, really needs it for some reason can ask the Administrator.

Well, quite. I didn’t expect Giles to have turned such a silly setting on (but I didn’t know where to look), and this guy has a reasonable potential reason. :-)

uses hidden spammessages (I mean you can't see the spam, but it's there with hidden code, so spiders crawl it etc...

Feel free to ask me if you want to know something about phpBB.
