Fuel Station expansion pack - an oddity

Post by UK_Eliter »

Can anyone explain the following?

Screenshot (on Imgur; can't get it to embed, sorry)

From my log:

Code: Select all

C:\Oolite/oolite.app/GNUstep/Library/ApplicationSupport/Oolite/ManagedAddOns/oolite.oxp.Thargoid.FuelStation.oxz

[version.debug]: oolite.oxp.Thargoid.FuelStation mv:2.2 mav:1.36
[version.debug]: oolite.oxp.Thargoid.FuelStation mv:2.2 mav:1.36
And then many instances of this:

Code: Select all

04:13:11.885 [version.debug]: oolite.oxp.Thargoid.FuelStation mv:2.2 mav:1.36

I think I have a version of Fuel Station installed that's no longer available, and I think the Oolite server is hosting more than one version.

Yes, there are two Fuel Stations available in the manager, the older 1.36, and the newer 2.2. Both have the same ID, though, which is why the download manager has grouped them together, and why so many entries are appearing in the log. So long as you only have one installed you should be OK. Thargoid (or whoever has control over it) should probably disable or delete the download manager entry for the 1.36 version.

Thanks, phkb. I've uninstalled the 1.36 version and installed the 2.2. version.

I am the person who uploaded the new version, with Thargoid's authorization. I had requested the older one to be removed but he told me that he wasn't the person that uploaded it in the first place. I don't know who did it and I don't have authorization to remove it myself, so unless someone figure that out we are stuck with this two OXPs :(

I had kept the same ID as I assumed that the older one would be removed and that would make it simpler for people to update it.

Thanks, gsagostinho.

Doesn't someone have some sort of admin override for the server/database thing, though? I mean . . someone does, right? Right?

I did try contacting him when Thargoid wrote me about not being the person behind the upload of the old version. But I never heard back. I will try again.

That's good - thanks all! I updated my local expansion pack list and there seemed to be some funniess about FuelStation not appearing as installed or even available, but after restarting Oolite all seems well and the expansion pack ( FuelStation-Setup 2.02) seems installed.
