So we have escorts, decks, formations, and even contracts, but we don't have an OXZ for the com chatter you would hear when you deploy escorts.
Been reading the novels and it struck me.
I have two S8 escorts for my Cruiser and it would be cool to hear their comms chatter especially during combat.
What do you all think?
How hard would it be to whip up an OXZ like this?

The Condor OXP is an example of (a lot) chatter. After I adapted it I disabled most of it because for my taste it
was just too much. You might want to check the original first if its really what you have in mind :wink:

I'll take a look at it.
I was just thinking the com exchange between the escorts and your ship in combat situations would add a depth of realism.
I mean I've never seen an epic space battle without com chatter in the background.

If I had the skills to do so this is how I'd set it up:
1. The oxz is only active if escorts are deployed.
A. Escorts would broadcast a simple underway message such as "Name or number _____, heading out". Or "said escort Underway".
B. A message when engaging a targeted hostile.
C. Breaking off message.
D. Death comms message.
E. Landing message.

So 5 different messages depending on actions using the escorts assigned name.

Not sure how hard it would be to set up.
Could use 8 different voice tracks for each message to cover the max escorts you could have. 6 for the base deck, 8 for the XL deck.
4 male voices, 2 female, and 2 Alien.

Okay that's about all I can think of to roll this idea onward. Either someone will pickup on it, or it will fade away.
