I dont think a spoken buy/sell sound is very practicable and
may just be too annoying, not to mention the timing-problems.

In my view, more or less only those events should be audible,
which provide no visual feedback or reponse.

At the marketscreen as an example, one keeps a close eye at the
numbers anyways, so an audible confirmation is not really needed.

Added to that, one does not lose money when buying and quickly
selling commodities, so that too would not be a big reason for
a "a good morning commander, i am K-987-aUt, your personal
market-assistant, you just have bought 5 tons of what seems
to be some sort of fluffy, brown edible porridge.
have a good day."-message. °grins°

With the BGS being finished and adding many ambient sounds, it deletes my excuse the necessity of adding ambient sounds to the Crew Soundset.
Also, the 1.2 will - if I didn't got it wrong - feature automatic countdowns, which I would like to use instead of individual countdowns by crew members.
I will change the post with the needed statements accordingly.

By the way, I'd like to get "ID on" and "ID off" off the list since it overlaps too much - at least for me: I think it's happening too often that you want to lock on a new target while you still have one locked, so "ID on" and "Target aquired" are two events which happen very shortly after another.

Doesn't seem that people care much :P
Svengali made a patch for the Soundset, I'll see if I can tweak the OXP that it fits just a bit better into the BGS and that you don't need a patch.
I'll probably have it done tomorrow and will update it in the first post.

Have you looked at the first post in this thread?

I found a little bug - two voices react to 'weapon overheated' and they overlap a little.

Are you sure? It's (sadly!) normal that the voices overlap. If you just keep firing although the lasers are overheated, you get the message all the time, so I just assume that you held the button for too long.

Well, when I hear it, I stop pressing 'a' (kind of automatic). Yet, I hear two voices, and unless my ears deceive me, that's two different voices. I have Engineer, Pilot and Tactical Officer.

The Crew Soundset files don't seem to be at the specified locations.

Does anybody have copies of any of these? The links all seem to be broken.

Thanks! I can't believe that I missed that. Very grateful. As you have probably surmised, Montana05 and I are are trying to re-publish/write wiki pages for all the old oxp's.

Welcome back! I hope you enjoy the changes! ...But I will confess to being utterly astounded... did you really find nothing worth commenting on since first joining in 2008?
