Expansion packs for newbie

Hi all,

Do you recommend installing expansion packs for someone just starting out in the game? If so, which ones would you install initially?

Hi romav, welcome to the board! Sorry about the delay getting your question up: to avoid spam, a member's first post has to be approved.

To give an answer (there will be more than one!): for a newbie, I'd recommend only adding packs that contribute eyecandy/atmosphere, rather than ones that change the gameplay - e.g.  Deep Horizon buoys,  Random Ship Names,  Delightful Docking, etc.

If you find docking to be tricky, one small exception to the "no change to gameplay" rule might be  Neo-Docklights.
