I'd like to report an issue I've noticed with the Cobra Mark III camo paints. It seems that whenever I apply them using the Ship Respray OXZ, it somehow increases the trade-in price by 50,000-55,000 Credits. While the issue isn't a game-breaker, as I can use them perfectly fine, I find it hard to believe that a 100 Credit paint job somehow makes the ship worth 50% more of its normal base trade-in value.
I think I can also recall seeing ships with those paints being sold for more than their base value. I am running Oolite v1.86 for Windows with v1.4 of your Cobra Mark III paint pack. I'm also running v1.3.5 of Ship Respray, if that helps.

The problem exists in a couple of these texture packs, actually. The ZGroovy Variety pack is another one that bumps the default 150K price of a Cobra MKIII up to 230K, which is probably what gsagostinho used as the basis for his addition.
The origin of those numbers, and their increased price, was the idea that it was intended by the original author that these special paint jobs would be rare, and that the player would need to buy the paint job as a brand new ship in order to get them. Then I come along with my Respray OXP and undo that whole premise, so maybe some of the blame lies with me.
I've put a simple fix together: download this oxz (NormalisingCobraMKIIIPrice.oxz) and put it in your AddOns folder. This overrides the price of all the ZGroovy and gsagostinho Cobra MKIII's, returning them to the default 150K price. If it works OK I might merge this into the next Ship Respray release.

@Nighthawk71 Thanks for the report, I wasn't aware of this issue. Indeed I based my texture packs on ZGroovy Variety pack and so I ended up importing any idiosyncrasies that he might have used.

Easy enough. In your "shipyard.plist" file, find all the "price = 230000" and change them to "price = 150000". That should sort out the pricing irregularities, and is essentially what I'm doing in that OXP I created above.gsagostinho wrote:Would you have any idea how could I fix this on my side?
