- whose asteroids are those in those recent pics A_C? - they look really great - lovely lighting on them
Hi Griff and thanks ;-)

The asteroids in the last shot are the Zygoroids by ZygoUgo, last OXP maintainer is Amah. The reason they look so great is probably the use of not only normal and specular, but also parallax maps (supported by the game engine since around 2009 but I haven't seen them used anywhere apart from this OXP and our Test Material Suite), which result in that little extra realism feel on them.

Nice shots! Dogfighting in an asteroid field.. who doesn't love that?
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Super cool shots! It's a pity that Reshade really brings my performance down so I can't use it... :(

But some effects are really nice, I quite like this screenshot which you posted some long time ago in the Reshade topic:

Nice..

I almost hate to point out that while there are green stars (Sol is almost one - it's actually yellow-green), due to the broad spectrum of visible light emitted by stars, and the way our eyes work, we'll never actually see green stars. (Though occasionally, circumstances can occur which create the illusion that we're seeing one.)

Of course, that's where we're helped by the snazzy viewscreens of our ships in Oolite.. they help us to see what the unaided eye can't!

*And I only mention all this to hopefully inspire some readers to look up the question of why we don't see green stars.. it's a fascinating subject.

Just a heads-up...
Image-sharing website Imgur has confirmed that the emails and passwords of 1.7 million users were compromised in 2014.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

(double facepalm)
...and how many more that are just not disclosed!

@another_commander stunning shots, that second one is really amazing! Also glad to see someone using one of the other HUD colours, they have been a pain to maintain :)
