[Solved] - No Sound in Linux Mint 18?

No Intro music or other sound from oOLITE.

System plays all sounds from all other applications fine.

Sound App is set for Stereo HDMI(2) Output and shows Oolite in 'Applications Running Sound' ok.
Yet No Sound heard.
All hardware is working (all other apps play sound fine)

Is there a CONFIG file which needs a tweek?

OS: Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64
Version 3.0.7
Kernel: 44077 - generic
System is up to date

AMD 6300 Six Core at 3GHz
Mem 4GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GT218 GeForce 405 driver

Is this a binary downloaded from oolite,org or from your distro's repository? Can you please post your Latest.log after a failed sound run?

SOLVED: The Synaptic Package Manager in Mint 18/64bit was used to install Oolite.
That function did NOT install the Audio or Doc files.
Clicking those for Installation, the SPM loaded and installed the audio and doc and now I have that Great Music track! Thanks!

Loading from the SPM on 29july2017, version 1.82 (not 1.84) was loaded.
A File Search did not locate a Lastest.log, so I cannot post it.

Thanks for the quick replies and pointing me to the right Linux areas to discover the "fix" above.

now.....Off to the Tutorial!

Cool - although 1.84 is preferable and recommended. Available here, if you're interested.

Good advise to install from the website: I still can't locate (or missing) the Docs or AddOns folder from the Synaptic installer (which was an earlier Rev too)
