Open Street Map

Post by Cody »

Open Street Map has no bells and whistles, no googly street/aerial view - just quality street maps.

While I'm at it, there's a cloud atlas that's just been updated - I like clouds!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Excellent find, thanks. I like it - no fuss and no nonsense.

By the way, if you are interested on non-googly street view, check out mapillary.com. It is based on user contributed photos, so no need to wait until a google car makes its way.

Looking at locations of UK passport offices, their website offers a choice between google maps and Open Street Map - this is good!

Now that beats Ordnance Survey maps for quick reference hands down. If your driving.

As most people that first see it, they will look up somewhere they know.
Yup. Bloomin great.

If your cycling or walking in the UK, most petrol stations and local libraries still carry Ordnance Survey maps of the local areas with all the details of lastest print.
Do any easy access points of sale still carry them?
Still in colour, I hope.

I still love paper maps with full detail.
There is just something real about opening a map and seeing where you are and being able to equate the map to your surrounds.
LOOK OUT!!!
OOPS..
"Press Space" Commander
If you do not see "Press Space" more often than you want.. Your not trying!
