Re: Science Fiction Trivia
I can't think of a question right now, so I'll defer to Terry - not least because we need some new angles here!
A torture location in one of the best classic (my favourite) sci fi/fantasy films, is now an IKEA store.
Which film am I talking about?

Arthur: OK. Leave this to me. I'm British. I know how to queue.
OR i could go with
Arthur Dent: I always said there was something fundamentally wrong with the universe.
or simply

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
Ah, how about 'Brazil'.
The Croydon power station cooling towers were used in this film, but have now been replaced by an Ikea store.

Doesn't look like it - though he has been in.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
No worries, Terry - it saved me from having to think up a question! Glad to see you're back on line.
Re: Science Fiction Trivia
Ah I see!! I don't think I quite got the rules of the game tbh!!
But glad to be of assistance!
And yes, back online - fingers crossed the internet keeps up!

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
ha, there aren't really any rules as such. The convention is that whoever answers correctly first gets to set the next question. If there is doubt it falls to the questioner to decide who has won.
Anyways, glad you're back and lets hope the intertubes don't break again.
Assuming it's me, I'll be back later....

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
Spot on.
The wraiths (sliders) are like the spirits of dead Time-lords, and inhabit the cloisters beneath Gallifrey. They ring the cloister bells in times of crisis.
Over to you, terry.
