Re: Screenshots
You using any lighting tweaks in that Worm pic?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: Screenshots
Let's see... I am using a slightly modified Zygo's Cinematic Skies planetinfo.plist, can't remember which settings were changed and which were left at default, so here is what I used for almost all of the recent shots for reference:
Other than that, it's just standard Griff's ships and a shot angle suitable for showing off notmal naps and specular highlights as much as possible.
Code: Select all
"universal" = {
"sky_rgb_colors" = "0.9 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 0.7";
"sun_distance_modifier" = "55.0";
"sky_blur_alpha" = "0.122";
"sky_blur_cluster_chance" = "0.87";
"ambient_level" = "0.024";
"sky_blur_scale" = "50";
"sky_n_stars" = "90000";
"sky_n_blurs" = "100";
"corona_flare" = "0.35";
"corona_hues" = "0.1";
"corona_shimmer" = "0.15";
"cloud_alpha" = "0.75";
};

Ah, I haveCode: Select all
"ambient_level" = "0.024";
ambient_level = 0.1;
(default is 1.0
, yes?) I'll try 0.025
, I think.I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

More Griffin, also with combat:
Re: Screenshots
i posted this in the bug section so i might as well show it here.
A vid of an STG 19 crewshuttle /babylon 5 among other things skipping across the solar system.
The model has errors, why it was used in the bug thread. Also it shows the "Frame" or "Flicker" drive in action.
now adjusted towards every ships max speed so this shuttle is a little slow getting out of gravity wells.

Nice! How's the Omega-class destroyer? I had some fun with that (as did Leafy).

Sitting in dry dock while the targeting system is being updated, so that
the turrets can target individual threats.
But there has since then been other additions, all from babylon 5.
----------------
Zephyre, player ship (starter ship), 4 tonnage cargo, Weapons either just laser or Bolters(babylon 5)
Olympic class cruiser (awaiting targeting system)
Hyperion class Heavy Cruiser
Some 2 canon and 3 semi-canon(AOG) star furies, and some made up ones(my device)
Narn Frazi fighter
Centauri Standard Station.
Jumpgate(in the video if you look for it)
Ch'lonas Cruiser and various small ships
EA standard station
Human Independant made up stations
STG19 crewshuttle
Nova Dreadnaught (being updated polywise)
Shadow Battlecrab
Made a vid of the Olympic class Cruiser.

Looks very nice! Are you making a total conversion to the B5? Universe?Frame wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2017 4:34 pmSitting in dry dock while the targeting system is being updated, so that

Thanks for sharing a_c.
Like the third one a lot.
First and forth look better on station than on ship IMHO.
Especially on the first one, the glare on the cobra looks a bit... odd.
It might be me

Re: Screenshots
@Redspear: It's not you, it does look a bit odd on a still image but the effect looks best when animated. In any case, those last screenies are posted there more to show that the lighting system is more flexible than one might think and although we go with conservative lighting for the standard game, nothing stops anyone from messing with the shaders and change the lighting model to their personal preferences.
