Re: Science Fiction Trivia
ok...thought it might be.... it hard to give a clue without just giving it away...hahaha...
the clue isnt the title of the book. it is the title of one of the characters. this group of characters are sent to investigate something newly discovered.
that should be a dead give away.... so i will want the name/title from the first clue as well...

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
Ah, I did wonder, just didn't work out how the character was a book! I actually spent ages trying to find out if there was a Nessus novel
Ringworld (Larry Niven.)

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
I think it was 'Engineers' - he was sent to the Ringworld first time round because he was the maddest puppeteer from what I remember.
As for the boots, thanks, except us Cucurbitans don't have feet but I'm sure theyll keep my roots nice and warm.
Back later with another question.

Time for another picture clue.
(Not quite) this pair went on a mission to a faraway place. Name the place and the Novel.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

<grins> I knew the answer the moment I saw the pics - one of my favourite novels.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
My brain's not in gear, so it'll have to be an easy one (it's a novel): the Earth has been ravaged by venomous, carnivorous plants (which may be alien). Small groups of humanity struggle to survive, in the hope of reclaiming the planet.
