I thought mention of purple would give it away... and the sister of that song's writer, Nick Drake, was...

... Gabrielle Drake. Ooohhhh!

now i am really confused.... the song linked was "Dave Harrington Ft. Tamara - Things Behind The Sun " is this correct?

Gabrielle Drake, not entirely unattractive...lol her costume reminded me of Eva Habermann's from Lexx... dream material right there...lol

Correct, but Nick Drake wrote the song.

BUT I learned something yesterday! I never knew that 'Life in a Northern Town' (which I like a lot) was actually a tribute to Nick! It's a small world. :o

Anyway,

thinking about SF predicting the future, who was the person who was accredited with inventing the term 'Robot' for cyborg and androids?

The word Robot dates back to 1919/1920. It was the brainchild of the Czech Josef Čapek, and became widely known when it was used by his playwrite brother Karel in a play.

As was Solid Air. Nick Drake was a musical genius - but alas, a tragic genius!

<Fires up the blowtorch...>

Mmmmm, a good vintage :)

Our question today is about Star Trek pets!
Capt Jean-Luc Picard, Lt Cmdr Data, Lt Reginald Barclay and Capt Jonathan Archer all had named pets.
What species were they (they are all Earth species) and what were their names?

Days of Future Passed is a pretty good album - but unconnected to the clue, methinks.

Meanwhile, there's a big match at Wembley tonight! Pink?

Could it be Star Cops? The theme song was sung by Justin Hayward from the Moody Blues, who of course made the album Days of Future Passed.
