According to Larry Niven, that would be Beowulf Shaever, iirc.

Niven's Neutron Star - won the Hugo for best short story. <lobs pineapple over>
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Oooh, a pineapple? Just for me? Why, thank you, Cody! How did you know I am feeling a bit peckish at the moment?

Anyway, <SLURP> this Star Trek vessel was a little smaller <SLURP> than her sister, the original USS Enterprise. But she <SLURP> still managed to damage her big sister significantly in a battle. <SLURP> (Sjeesh, this pineapple is really juicy)

The name of the ship and her class, please.

never played it.. no idea...lol but no one else answered so i googled your question...

ok my last two were very easy so a bit harder this time.

name book and author......

quantum computing, time travel, medieval french knights. spoiler one character stays in the past.
turned into a movie. wasnt too bad but then i read the book .... author was so dissapointed that no more books were turned into scripts....
many of the authors books were turned into movies some blockbusters some not.
Arthur: OK. Leave this to me. I'm British. I know how to queue.

Not seen the film, but a quick google shows it doesn't seem to have too bad a cast (Billy Connolly, Martin Sheen, Anna Friel, Gerard Butler …). Mind you, the FIFA vanity vehicle United Passions had Gérard Depardieu, Sam Neill and Tim Roth: a cast can only carry you so far!

Speaking of sport, here's my question: name the book (and, IIRC, long-distant TV series) wherein you might play a game of Centrifugal Bumble-Puppy.
