ooh, he was a mathematicus, who made psycho-history, thus enabling some way to rouglylook into the future by calculating what people would do (except for one guy, the mule, who was unpredictable)

True enough - iirc the air pigs and other native fauna in Flux live inside a neutron star, not on its surface!
