Glitchy looking judder of damaged NPCs

Post by UK_Eliter »

Dear all

Sometimes, when I am damaging an NPC, it judders off (forwards, backwards, sideways) in a way that looks exaggerated and bad and which makes it harder to it. I wondered whether an OXP (/OXZ) might be responsible but, given what I have installed, I can't think what - unless it is Griff's Alloys and Wreckage.

Anyone have any ideas? I can post my (rather extensive) set of installed expansion packs here if necessary (and, if it does turn out to be an OXP problem, then I am in the wrong subforum . . ).

Does this happen in strict mode?

Good question, (Another_)Commander.

It seems the answer is 'no', although my ability to inflict damage on other ships is limited by my having the starter ship. (I discover also that, seemingly, the vipers at Lave don't have access to an ECM, which seems strange. All in all, those ships seemed easier to take down - when they are flying out of the station, anyway - than in the original Elite, although I my memory may be faulty.)
