Never in my life have I been as happy as I am now. Now, I must ask, would you recommend 3 military lasers for firepower, or three beam lasers for heat output?another_commander wrote:See the edit in my earlier post. Somebody has already gone into the trouble of coding what you want to do.

<grins> What... on the NPCs hunting you?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Military. Deliver 1.5 times more damage from the same heat, double damage/second, double range and energy efficiency so no reason to use Beam if you can afford the better one.ZaneWuzHere wrote:would you recommend 3 military lasers for firepower, or three beam lasers for heat output?
Just be careful, your enemies use multiple lasers also.

Re: v1.84 release
Looking good on Windows 7 64-bit. I've got to go out now, I'll try the Mac version some time over the weekend.
Can someone remind me how you change all of the keyboard up/down/left/right functions to the numeric keypad on the Windows version? I thought there was a quick short cut but I can't figure out what it is.
Really like it that I can land reasonably fast with the Planetfall add-on now.

You need to change all the related key references in keyconfig.plist to this:ffutures wrote:Can someone remind me how you change all of the keyboard up/down/left/right functions to the numeric keypad on the Windows version
Code: Select all
key_roll_left = 314; //numpad 4
key_roll_right = 316; //numpad 6
key_pitch_forward = 318; //numpad 8
key_pitch_back = 312; //numpad 2
key_gui_arrow_left = 314; //numpad 4
key_gui_arrow_right = 316; //numpad 6
key_gui_arrow_up = 318; //numpad 8
key_gui_arrow_down = 312; //numpad 2

Re: v1.84 release
But - my toes get cold in the 2.4K of interplanetary space, and I need the heat to keep my tootsies warm. The ship's cat prefers to sleep on the injector housing but I can't fit there and reach the control board.Norby wrote:Military. Aargh! I wanted to spend my summer holiday catching up on my writing, you guys! And now there's this monster lurking behind my computer screen going "Download me... download me... download me..."
How dare people spend so much of their own time and trouble on making such a high-quality free game and maintaining an awesome support community? I'll never finish Claymore Mine at this rate...

A little late to the party here but hearty thanks to all involved.
