Belkin Nostromo N52
Picked up a Belkin Nostromo N52 in Portobello Road today - it's a weird game pad thing which seems to be designed for left hand use while you work the mouse with your right hand. It has fifteen keys, a scroll wheel, and a little four-direction joypad thingy.
I don't think I want to use it - the sizing and position of the joypad are a bit off for my hand and I seem to get on fairly well with the PS-2 style controller I'm using - but I wondered if anyone has tried one with Oolite, and what they thought of it.

Never used one, but I've long wanted to try a Logitech G13, which is very similar.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

That looks a lot more advanced with the screen etc.
I'll probably end up flogging it on ebay, I'll post a link if anyone's interested.

Moved to Outworld, as it is not specifically Oolite-related.
Edit: Maybe I was a bit quick with the move, I just noticed the last line in the first post bringing Oolite into the discussion. Oopsie.

This is probably the best place.
Otherwise we'll have 'Discussion' spammed with debates on anything from 'best gaming coffee' to office chairs ('I favour the Astor High Back over the Cadiz as the arms on the Cadiz get in the way of my joystick hand.').

Re: Belkin Nostromo N52
I've got one. It was a gift but the gifter forgot about the fact that I'm left-handed, so I can't use it fully.
Despite the mismatch, it is still very useful MOBAs, FPSs, anything that plays with a mouse and some key bindings; I even use to play Osu!. I configured it to match the layout of a numeric keypad (+ ESC as the orange button and Space as the large key below the pad on the picture), and I configure games as if I was playing on the numpad. That is "WASD" becomes "8456".
I actually use it a lot but not for Oolite mostly because I prefer two play Oolite keyboard-only, and having both hands on the keyboard is the most comfortable.
Mine is actually under the Razer brand. I'm actually dissatisfy with their software that almost force you to connect to their servers in order to use their hardware (I have a mouse from them too - another gift): "Configuration stored in the cloud" b.llsh.t.

I've decided to sell it - I'm also left handed and prefer a keyboard plus I have a cluttered desk and really don't need any more junk there. It's here if anyone is interested:

If it doesn't sell, you can still use it as a foot pedalffutures wrote:I've decided to sell it - I'm also left handed and prefer a keyboard plus I have a cluttered desk and really don't need any more junk there. It's here if anyone is interested:

Re: Belkin Nostromo N52
Bit off topic.
Has anyone in Oz noticed that to post to UK is about twice as much as from UK to Oz? Or is that just a WA thing to go with the W ait A while for everything?
Will be having a look into the logitech version.
